Super soft, great quality, and they are big enough for Irish Wolfhounds! Purchased these thinking because they'd probably be low quality beds that we'd replace periodically - pleasantly surprised at how nicely made they are! Didn't notice any smell. The dogs were suspicious of them at first, then would not get out of them! Even when the dog walker came (kinda their 3rd favorite person) she said she had to force them up when generally they are all over her. Highly recommend!!
